Explore The PA Wilds Four Tour
Explore The PA Wilds Four Tour is an Intermediate to Upper Intermediate level guided tour on August 7-11, 2024 of the best ADV & ADV Dual Sporting routes in north central Pennsylvania including terrain in Sproul and Susquehannock State Forests. The ride is set up as a hybrid rally-style guided tour for a small group, having a single base camp for the entire trek. From Thursday to Sunday we run a different loop into the wilderness and back to camp.
Check in will occur on the afternoon of Wednesday the 7th. Our campground for the tour is the perfect base camp for outdoor adventure in the PA Wilds due to the close proximity to the Backcountry Discovery Route's MABDR and PA Wilds BDR-X as well as the many miles of awesome gravel forest service roads, drivable trails, vista and valley views, and charming small towns. Campground amenities include rustic camping (tent, truck, or RV with size limitations), running water, flush toilets, showers, and a swimming pool, all with a beautiful backdrop of pine trees and a babbling brook! There is a limited number of RV and truck parking directly at our camping location but there is parking available approximately 300-850 feet away from our campsites. Use the below drop box to lock in an RV spot with your tour pass.
A majority of the riding will be on gravel and dirt Forest Service and Fire Roads with beautiful vantage points, minimal pavement, and amazing pieces of the MABDR and the PA Wilds BDR-X. Approximately 95% of our riding is on gravel and dirt surfaces with our longest stretch of continuous non-pavement coming in at approximately 60 miles on one of the loops! The ride will also include maintained, semi-maintained, and not-often-traveled drivable trails including a 15 mile stretch of ruggedness on one of the loops! We will also pass through small communities where supplies can be acquired at the local mom-n-pops. Gas and lunch stops are built into each day's ride.
The price of admission will include camping, Mama Wags breakfast and coffee each morning, dinner Wednesday through Friday nights, rider support, as well as fully planned routing and guiding services of some of the best ADV and ADV Dual Sporting in the PA Wilds. Participants are responsible for their own gas, lunches, dinner on Saturday, hydration, and any incidentals on the courses. For those interested, we will have a group dinner at a local Mom-n-Pop establishment on Saturday evening.
Participants will receive email communications prior to the event with more information.

Disclaimers: Participants of The PA Wilds Group Tour must be a minimum age of 18 years old. Waiver forms will be made available and completion is required prior to participation. Appalachian ADV events are an all-weather affair, we like nature and everything it throws at us. A minimum 50/50 tire is required but Appalachian ADV strongly suggests a more dirt-oriented tire that includes some level of knobblies. Appropriate armor for your body and bike as well as the appropriate skill, mental toughness, and attitude are also required! The goal is to challenge yourself and have fun! So, be prepared to pick up your bike with a smile!
