ADV & Dual Sport Riding Clinic Comments:

"[The] Clinic was absolutely superb. Kane is an amazing teacher. (I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go.) But the group was also so helpful. Everytime I fell/got stuck, all of [them] came rushing in to help." -Sony from Suwanee, Georgia

"Returning to the dirt after 54 years on the street so wanted to update my skills. Just completed a one-day Private Clinic with Kane and one word sums it up, AWESOME!. Kane is such a knowledgeable and talented instructor. His coaching skills are spot on. He helps you set small goals and then uses positive reinforcement to assure you achieve them. He assures your safety and well-being by never pushing you above your abilities, can tell when you need a break and makes sure you stay hydrated. I highly recommend his clinics for anyone wanting to improve their Adventure or Dual Sport riding skill!" -Walt from Akron, Ohio

"You're doing a really good thing for the beginners of, not just Adventure, but riding as a whole. You were very organized and covered everything you need to know." -Cody from Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania

"What a great time. Being new to the ADV world and having a Harley-Davidson Pan America, Kane showed me what this bike is capable of. I learned tons of techniques and gained confidence in handling off road obstacles." -Matt from Cleveland, Ohio

"Kane Wagner is a wonderful ADV riding instructor. His clinics are so helpful to learn and apply the basic skills needed to take your riding adventures to the next level." -Tambra from Titusville, Pennsylvania

“I thoroughly appreciated your attention and focus on my riding during our private clinic. There is no doubt that the skills you challenged me with and your insights provided will pay off in both safety and fun. I especially liked the 1-2 mph drills. As you said, 'Master the slow momentum tight turn riding and all sorts of possibilities open up!' It is great to be in the presence of someone who is clearly passionate and also well-equipped for the task at hand. I am grateful for your commitment to building a solid ADV Community based on team work values and all for one attitude. It was an amazing day and I will be back. It was fun turning a Kove 800x rally into what felt like a dual sport with your guidance.” -Brent from Novelty, Ohio

"What an awesome weekend! You are a great instructor with much knowledge!  What great courage you gave me to try new things. 'I knew I didn’t know a lot but I didn’t know I didn’t know that much.' Can’t wait for your level 2 class!!!!" -Dave from Cross Plains, Wisconsin

"As a new rider, the training aspect is critical. The learning curve of piloting my 485lb bike off road is steep (sometimes very steep). After a training clinic with Kane you get the techniques to then go out and practice those things that you may never have discovered on your own. I also think training informs you what kind of riding you like to do. There's so many ADV style bikes out there, you need to get out and get dirty to find what you like best and then find the bike that best lets you enjoy that aspect of adventure riding." -Phillip from New Albany, Ohio

"Very good course! I got into ADV riding 3 years ago but haven’t tested my skills like I did this weekend. Highly recommended if you want to learn some new practice drills to sharpen your off-road riding ability and improve confidence. No classroom, you’re learning while on your bike all day, which was perfect for me." -Dan from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania

"Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone will look different for everyone. I tend to take small steps while pushing myself. So, it may take me a bit longer to achieve the goal, but I feel 'safer' that way. While in your class at the Hogrock Adventure Rally, I felt more comfortable to take bigger steps. It does help to have immediate feedback and definitely boosts confidence. What I learned from you, especially when riding on gravel has been super helpful. I hope to take another one of your clinics in 2027!" -Kristie from Knoxville, Tennessee

"Would definitely recommend the clinic I have been off-road on dirt bikes all my life and Kane taught me some things... on my Honda CB500X Rally Raid." -Steven from Boardman, Ohio

"In this class we all worked hard AND had so much fun. The class is set up perfectly with one day of drills followed by one day of riding on diverse terrain. Kane and Tom are amazing instructors/people. A great group of students too, differing experience levels (I'm a total newbie), and everyone was super supportive. It was cool seeing how everyone's confidence levels and skills shot up dramatically at the completion of the first day." -Tony from Fairport, New York

"Out of all of the trainers I've worked with, Kane Wagner is the absolute best coach! His feedback and classes are so personalized and wonderful! He's a treasure to the ADV community!" -Scott from Akron, Ohio

"Really enjoyed the clinic. Many tips and practice for getting comfortable with your bike. Kane and Marsh covered clutch, braking, throttle, balancing, slow speed turning, control and other facets of riding. Where else are you encouraged to lock up your rear brake in thick gravel and grass, spin your tire, lift the front wheel over obstacles, options to turn around, options to get going without sitting on the bike and my favorite - climbing on your bike from the right side (non kick stand side)! I was worn out at the end of the day." -Dave from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

“I just finished two days of private training with Appalachian ADV. Kane is a great instructor and coach. He was routinely able to explain to me where my mistakes were and offered not one, but multiple ways to fix it. I can say he allowed me to push and get a bit aggressive (for me), but always under his watchful eye and with him already knowing my limits. He was able to consistently inspire confidence through repetition of training, adherence to good technique and demonstration of how to perform any rocky hill climb, muddy track or fast gravel trails. Never did I feel pushed too hard or asked to do something way outside my skill zone. I will tell you that Kane got me out of my comfort zone for sure, but never into a situation where I was uncomfortable. Serious props to a great instructor! I'm for sure going back next year for more training!” -Tony from Avon, Ohio

"Had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Got me thinking of all the fundamentals as I'm riding. Kane and Tom are great instructors who enjoy what they do. Can't recommend them enough. See you at the Fools Ride!" -Daniel from Huntingtown, Maryland

"I really enjoyed Saturday's clinic and got a lot out of it. I appreciate your expertise, your patient teaching style, and your attention to detail in helping me and the others. It was just the right degree of difficulty for me, everything I did was a challenge but nothing was so overwhelming that it felt way over my head. It was good to get out of my comfort zone and I feel a lot more confident now, especially after the group ride at the end. Really a good group of guys too. I will definitely recommend your clinics to others." -Jim from Brunswick, Ohio

"It was your Level 1 class that really sparked the thrill in off-road adventures. You took the basics, pushed us beyond them, and then turned up the 'weird' in the second half to let us have some fun. Trying unconventional things, our occasional falling off the bike, and me realizing just how much more there was to learn and experience really changed my perspective. Safety is important, but being so focused on avoiding risks that you never push yourself can also hold you back from growing as a rider. And sometimes, the best lessons and skill enhancements come from trying something a little strange while on the pegs." -Patrick from Erie, Pennsylvania

"Thank you for your time, patience, knowledge and encouragement the past two days [at the private clinic]. I’m a much better and more confident rider because of it." -Chris from Dublin, Ohio

"
I appreciate the classes you teach. You cater to who you have, encourage taking risks but never push, and let people grow." -Josh from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania

“Casey and I really enjoyed the [Level 2] training this past weekend. We talked a lot on the way home about how you pushed our limits and how much we both learned from the training. It was nice to be able to connect the drills on Saturday with real life situations on Sunday.  It was very beneficial to be able to make that connection.  It really helps the things we learned set in.” -Brad and Casey (Father/Son) from New Washington, OH
